- The CES Aegis Impact model, has been used to model the flow of non-food retail spending from households to each of some 2500 non-food shopping locations across Great Britain, of which some 400 account for the bulk of retail spending and retail investment.
- The forecast stretches 10 years ahead and projects population change, spending change, and can reflect the impact of new retail developments.
- The competition between neighbouring centres is a key feature of the forecasts and the model can be used to produce alternative scenarios – depending on different development pipeline profiles to show locations and those most at risk from the impact of new developments.
